It’s one of those covers you would never see coming, but Coldplay did it justice. As you’ve heard by now, the Beastie Boys’ Adam “MCA” Yauch passed away after a long battle with cancer at the age of 47, rocking the music world only days after the band was inducted into the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame.

So Coldplay, while playing at the Hollywood Bowl yesterday, decided to honor the fallen Brooklyn boy. Without warning, Chris Martin and the band went into a “Coldplay-ish” rendition of “Fight For Your Right To Party”. The crowd slowly realized what was happening and went wild.

The song was tastefully done with Chris wrapping the lyrics up with “So we’re sending all our love to the Beastie Boys”. Check the video out!
