Kelly Clarkson rocked the Cosmopolitan over the weekend along with the Fray and Carolina Liar. Not only did she do all of your favorite Kelly hits she also managed to throw in one from Britney Spears.

She performed Spears’ “Everything” and had this to say about the song. “This song is one of my favorite songs. I do it a little differently than her and I actually was telling one of my best friends, who does my makeup before the show, that I actually prefer the other girl’s version better, because it just sounds really sad, but I’m going to try and do it.”

Britney actually saw Kellys’ performance of her song and responded to her rendition saying, “Awww @Kelly_Clarkson this is beautiful girl! Xxoo,” to which the “Idol” alum responded, “Thanks girl! I love that song .”
