It’s not often you have to interview the same person twice in a day – and you actually want to. Canadian singer-songwriter Jocelyn Alice had the
tragic duty distinguished honor of coming onto “The Morning Blend” this morning, as well as into the studio this afternoon – and I’m so glad she did.
The “Jackpot” singer has had a whirlwind couple years, writing a song that flung her into the spotlight north of the border, and to continue to reap the rewards of the single here in the states to an entirely new audience.
But the music is only the half of it! Jocelyn (along with the yin-to-her-yang, bassist Lisa Jacobs) is an absolute freaking riot! Armed with a semi-inappropriate, hilarious wit, we didn’t end up talking too much about her music!
One listen to today’s interview, you’ll immediately be enamored with her. From her Tinder experience, to explaining Canadian culture, this is probably one of the most fun interviews I’ve had in a while, and her presence is immediately disarming and you feel like you’ve known her forever.
If you like what you hear with “Jackpot”, well you hit said jackpot, because a new EP is in the works and being released this summer. Definitely an artist we look forward to hearing more from – and frankly we are rooting for!
