-Beavis & Butthead, Daria, Unplugged & more are returning as VH1 Classic becomes MTV Classic!
-On August 1st the channel will be rebranded and be pumped full of the shows that built it!
-The new-old network will make its debut with “MTV Hour One,” a replay of the exact first hour of programming MTV aired, and then segue into a “Total Request Live” retrospective, followed by a best-of “MTV Unplugged.”
-The launch date isn’t random…Aug. 1 is when MTV debuted 35 years ago.

Lifetime is remaking the 80’s movie “Beaches.”
It’s set to premiere in 2017 and Idina Menzel will be playing the role of CC Bloom, made famous by Bette Midler.
The role of Hillary, made famous by Barbara Hershey, has not been cast yet.
