A new study ranked the 100 best and worst cities for having a pet, and New York City came in LAST.
The rankings are based on things like weather, the average size of people’s homes, the cost of vet care and pet insurance, pet-friendly restaurants, and dog parks per capita.
And the best city for owning a pet is, Orlando.
The rest of the top 10 are: Birmingham, Alabama, Tampa, Lexington, Kentucky, Scottsdale, Reno, Colorado Springs, Cincinnati, Las Vegas, and St. Louis.
The 10 worst are: New York, Santa Ana, California, Boston, Detroit, Philadelphia, Newark, Anaheim, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Jersey City, New Jersey.
