Just days before Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz meet at UFC 202 for one of the biggest rematches in the history of the sport, we were lucky enough to get Dana White to come on to the show to tell us what we can expect to see at the event.
We learned a lot from White while we talked to him including what it felt like when the UFC was sold for $4 BILLION, “It messed me upper a little while. When we first did the deal I Howard Hughes’d myself in a hotel for a while, but i’m back!”
One of his main eventors for UFC 202, Conor McGregor, had some choice words about UFC 200. Saying that the event bombed because he wasn’t on the card. “Well we lost Jon Jones the week of the fight and still did 1.2 million (Pay Per View) buys. If that’s bombing then I will bomb every week.” Although McGregor didn’t cast the UFC in a good light with his comments, White wasn’t mad in the slightest, “This is the fight game and we deal with 500 alpha male and females, I don’t care at all.”
Before we let him off the phone we had to ask him about Mercedes’ favorite fighter, Ronda Rousey and when she will be back in the octagon,”I’m hoping Ronda will be back this year, probably not for UFC 205 in New York, but hopefully by December.”
Either way when she returns it will be huge!
