-Tokyo’s Governor accepts the Olympic flag at the Closing Ceremony in Rio de Janeiro.
-Yuriko Koike formally accepted the flag Sunday night, marking the end of the 2016 games.
-Tokyo will host the 2020 Summer Games.
-The US left the Rio Olympics with the most medals (121), including 46 gold!
-Survey: Half of all UK parents let their children under 14 drink at home.

-They also found that 34% of parents with kids under 14 have used alcohol as a bribe to encourage good behavior.
-It is not illegal for children aged 5-16 to have alcohol at home in the UK but kids who drink under 14 have increased health risks including suicide attempts, involvement in violence, and alcohol-related injuries.
-The Today Show weatherman went off and says that Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte flat out “lied” about the Brazil robbery.
-He said, “He lied to you, he lied to Matt Lauer, he lied to his mom” to Billy Bush.
-Lochte and his teammates are facing disciplinary action according to the US Olympic Committee CEO who says, “They let down our athletes…they let down Americans.”
-Many restrictions on US-Mexico flights were lifted on Sunday.
-The move, which was agreed upon in December, means US and Mexican airlines will be allowed to create new routes and fly as often as they’d like.
-The change is expected to lower flight prices.
