§ Almost two weeks after a terrorist attack outside her concert killed 22 and injured over 100, Ariana Grande took to the stage to raise money for the victims at the “One Love Manchester” concert.

§ The mood was especially somber after another terrorist attack in London and despite the threat level, the show went on.

§ Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, and Coldplay were some of the acts that performed.

§ The show is expected to bring in around $2.6 million.

§ To close the show, Ariana gave an emotional performance of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.”

§ Study shows that late night tweeting has been linked with poor performance by NBA players.

§ NBA players that were active on Twitter between 11pm and 7am were less efficient shooters and scored fewer points.

§ In games following late-night tweeting, players suffered an average of a 1.7% drop in field goal percentage.

§ Researchers say they interpret this data to show that basketball skills are impaired after getting less sleep.

 

#WonderWoman

§ Wonder Woman destroyed the box office competition and came in #1 this weekend.

§ The DC film broke the record for the highest domestic opening from a female director.

§ It earned $100.5 million over the weekend and it’s also the best-reviewed superhero film of all time.

§ “Captain Underpants” came in at #2, followed by “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.”

§ An Oregon father’s says he has no shame in a post is catching buzz on Facebook after he shared an image of his toddler wearing a leash.

§ With the photo, he wrote, “I put this kid on a leash because I love her…I can’t for the life of me, keep her from moving.”

§ The dad of three explained that he gets dirty looks from people but he stands behind his parenting.

§ Thousands of people have been commenting on the post, many of whom said they can relate. He says he hopes his post helps others understand that parents are doing everything they can.
